SEPA: euro transfers just like in the EU

What this means for you
Since 6 October 2025, Moldova has been connected to SEPA. In the first year 1.2 million transactions went through, and the average cost fell to about 1 euro, according to the National Bank of Moldova. Fees are set by each bank.

Euro only, SEPA IBANs only
The transfer must be in euro, between accounts in SEPA countries.
